This initiative aims to showcase the exquisite harmony between sake and seafood, with Michelin-starred Kali leading the culinary charge.
As the culinary world continues to explore innovative pairings, sake is emerging as a versatile companion to seafood, enhancing flavors and providing a delightful alternative to traditional wine pairings. Recognizing this trend, JFOODO has collaborated with renowned restaurants, offering patrons an opportunity to savor the unique symphony of flavors created when sake meets seafood.
Leading the charge in Los Angeles are two culinary powerhouses, Chef Kevin Meehan’s Michelin-starred Kali and Chef Neal Fraser’s acclaimed Redbird. These establishments are crafting extraordinary dining experiences that highlight the dynamic interplay between sake and seafood.
Kali restaurant, under the creative guidance of Chef Kevin Meehan, is set to tantalize taste buds with inspired pairings such as the Caramelized Bay Scallop. This delectable creation, featuring romanesco, capers, grapes, cauliflower, and almonds, is expertly complemented by Suigei, Junmai Daiginjo, Harmony Blend. Another gem on the seasonal menu, the Crowded Beach, showcases the finest local seafood, paired with Tamano Hikari, Bizen Omachi, Junmai Daiginjo. These unique pairings will be available on the Menu from now to December 30, 2023.
