To celebrate TV’s most anticipated night, the 70th Anniversary of the Emmy Awards will close with The Governors Ball, a trio of celebrity-studded after-party galas following the Creative Arts Emmys and Primetime Emmys telecast. Themed Emmys Under the Stars, guests will be treated to an unforgettable celebration including glamorous décor, lavish dining and interactive experience.
Chef and Founder Joachim Splichal and Patina Catering return to the three nights of star-studded Emmys Governors Ball galas as the official caterer for the 23rd year, presenting a reinvigorated menu of more than 35 masterfully created, chef-driven small plates and tray-passed hors d’oeuvres. With are more than 250 chefs and 20 executive chefs who work together flawlessly to create the ultimate experience, menu highlights include Patina Spuds topped with shaved Summer Truffles, Brown Butter Potato Gnocchi, Hand-Carved Flat Iron Steak with Red Wine Bordelaise, Cave-Aged Mini Gruyere Popovers, Nashville Hot Fried Chicken Sliders, Angus Beef Sliders, and more.
The menu also includes a Farmers’ Market Edible Garden of five salads that spotlight locally sourced best-of-the-season produce, such as Valdivia Farms heirloom tomatoes. Dessert stations with a mélange of reinterpreted classic dishes and desserts from a quartet of Patina classics—Hazelnut Chocolate Feuilletine, Chocolate Rocher, Strawberry Rhubarb Tart, and Chocolate Bread Pudding—to mini globes of Harry’s Berries Strawberry Shortcake and vegan Coconut Chia Seed Tapioca.
Sterling Vineyards will pour the soon-to-launch Platinum Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as the flagship Iridium Cabernet Sauvignon, which Emmy winners will also receive as a personalized bottle in the Emmy Winner’s Circle, while Ketel One Vodka is offering official Emmy cocktails with a conscious twist, incorporating fair-trade and all-natural ingredients. Ferrari Trento, the official Sparkling Wine of Emmy Season, will offer guests flutes of scintillating sparklers including the Ferrari Perlé, Perlé Rosé and their tête de cuvée, the Giulio Ferrari Riserva del Fondatore. Other contributing Television Academy corporate partners include Audi, Don Francisco’s Coffee, FIJI Water, L’Oréal Paris, and Lindt Chocolate.
The 70th Emmy Awards will telecast live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, Monday, September 17 (8:00 -11:00 PM ET/5:00 – 8:00 PM PT) on NBC.
