This week on The StyleList, we caught up with Nike to get a sneak peek at the Jordan Brand’s newest collection for HER, we also got a taste of LA’s best new restaurants and we are taking you ‘Black in the Day’ in honor of Black History Month.

Jordan Brand ‘Season of Her’

Jordan Brand is giving guys sneaker-envy with the debut of their highly anticipated ‘Season of Her’ collection. Reenvisioning the 1985 Air Jordan classic with the ladies in mind, the collection combines satin fabrics mixed with premium suede in three styles that are both fashion-forward and fit for the streets.

We got a sneak peek at the brands first-ever dedicated women’s collection of shoes for Spring 2018 at the Future of Flight Event in Los Angeles, where we spoke with Jordan Women’s Footwear Senior Director, Seema Simmons to get the inspiration behind the new female focused collection. The event also featured the unveiling of the 2018 NBA All-Star uniforms, which went with a clean black and white palette making it perfect for off the court wear.

Best New Restaurants

We joined Los Angeles Magazine to celebrate culinary excellence with some of the Best New Restaurants at their annual event. We got a taste of signature dishes from LA’s most appetizing new restaurant including Above 71, Rosaline, WOLF, Kali and even got the scoop from some of our favorite chefs.

Museum of African American Art (Black History Month)

February is Black History Month and an important time to honor African-American culture and history. Born out of a need to emphasize the contributions of blacks within American history, Black History Month has played an important role in highlighting blackness and black excellence in America.

We celebrated by visiting the Museum of African American Art inside the Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Mall in Los Angeles. It’s a unique art space that is more than 40 years old and celebrates black history all-year-long with curated exhibits highlighting the work of world-renowned artists and emerging local artists.
