School’s out and Netflix’s Stranger Things 3 is bringing the summer of 1985 to fans in Los Angeles and New York with a bi-coastal takeover of the Santa Monica Pier and Coney Island. In celebration of the season three premiere, guests attended the Stranger Things 3 Fun Fair at Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier over the weekend. Fans enjoyed carnival games, an 80s glam Flash Studio photo booth, ice cream from the Scoops Ahoy truck and a fun house experience. Guests also enjoyed a performance from the Hawkins High School Cheerleaders, 80’s cover bands, food eating contests, magicians and more.
Just in time for the 4th of July, New York fans can visit the Stranger Things 3 takeover of Deno’s Wonder Wheel Amusement Park at Coney Island July 5 – July 7 from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The park’s iconic rides, such as the Wonder Wheel, Tilt-A-Whirl, Bumper Cars and Carousel, will be Stranger-fied with in-show elements, with additional prizes and surprises entertaining guests throughout the park. Among other exciting updates that will be seen throughout the park, attendees will also get the chance to catch the Hawkins Fourth of July Spectacular Firework Show on July 5 at 9:30 p.m. Stranger Things 3 launches globally on Netflix on July 4.
