Spotify and Demi Lovato hosted a private event for Demi’s “Superfans” on Friday, in celebration of the launch of her upcoming album Tell Me You Love Me out September 29. Spotify invited 50 guests who stream her the most to the intimate evening at RVCC in Downtown Los Angeles where she performed songs off of the album including “Sorry Not Sorry” and “Tell Me You Love Me.” Demi also took tons of selfies with her fans and participated in a Q&A with producer Warren “Oak” Felder.
Demi expressed that she wouldn’t want to spend Friday night any other way than with her fans, calling them her “fams,” and recognized some of her biggest fans in the audience that have supported her for years. She explained that her new album is more mature and soulful and was in part inspired by Christina Aguilera’s Stripped album. She also noted that she is currently a big fan of Kehlani, Kendrick Lamar and SZA.
