OUT Magazine celebrated their annual OUT POWER 50 with a gala presented by Genesis, that took place at Goya Studios in Los Angeles on August 10. More than 500 notable LGBTQ VIPs and celebs attended including Adam Lambert and Caitlyn Jenner. Guests enjoyed innovative Stoli cocktails, inspiring performances, and the debut of OUT’s new “The Power Of…” video series.
The gala included a special award presentation to select POWER 50 honorees that included CNN Tonight Anchor Don Lemon receiving the Genesis Power of Authenticity Award and Musician Justin Tranter who received the Genesis Power of Originality Award. Other honorees in attendance included Gigi Gorgeous, Tyler Oakley, and Roxane Gay.
Each year, OUT profiles the most influential LGBTQ notables working to make an impact. The 2017 list had a specific focus on redefining ‘power’ to include individuals using their position, social influence, and notoriety to give back and raise awareness on prominent issues facing the LGBTQ community.
