

Taste of Tennis served as the ultimate kickoff to the BNP Paribas Open, setting the stage for an exhilarating two weeks of world-class tennis in the desert. Hosted at the Grand Hyatt Indian Wells Resort & Villas, the event brought together top tennis professionals and celebrated chefs for an unforgettable culinary experience. The star-studded lineup featured players including Qinwen Zheng, Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard, Alycia Parks, Alexander Zverev, Sabrina Santamaria, Caroline Dolehide, Zhang Zhizhen, Kateřina Siniaková, and Learner Tien, who indulged in an exquisite selection of dishes crafted by some of the finest chefs in the region.
Guests savored standout dishes such as Lamb Barbacoa + Caviar by Chef Angelo Sosa of Tía Carmen and Carmocha, Smoked Tomahawk Ribeye by Chef Omar Salinas of Grand Hyatt Indian Wells Resort & Villas, and Pan-Seared Chilean Seabass by Chef Eric Stenberg of Kestrel – A Richard Blais Kitchen + Lounge. Additional culinary delights were prepared by an esteemed lineup of chefs, making the evening a true gastronomic celebration.
Throughout the night, guests enjoyed premium wine and beer selections from Pride Mountain Vineyards, Clementine Carter Wines, and Chateau La Coste, along with specialty cocktails crafted by Lalo Tequila. With a breathtaking backdrop of the Coachella Valley, attendees mingled with their favorite tennis stars ;and even witnessed some stepping into the kitchen to showcase their culinary skills alongside the region’s top chefs.
The event also had a philanthropic element, benefiting Shay’s Warriors, a Coachella Valley-based non-profit dedicated to supporting cancer survivors and their families. Shay’s Warriors Life After Cancer provides a vital community for individuals navigating post-treatment life, offering empowerment, resources, and emotional support to those affected by cancer.
Taste of Tennis once again delivered an unparalleled evening of gourmet cuisine, world-class tennis, and charitable giving, solidifying its place as one of the most anticipated culinary and sports events in the Coachella Valley.
