“Bohemian Rhapsody” led the 91st Academy Awards, taking home four awards in the actor, film editing, sound mixing, and sound editing categories. Close behind with three wins each were “Roma,” “Black Panther,” and “Green Book,” which won best picture. In addition to a foreign language film nod, “Roma” also took home directing and cinematography Oscars for Alfonso Cuaron, while “Black Panther” surprised with wins in production design, costume design, and original score.
On the acting side, Olivia Colman won for actress, and “Bohemian Rhapsody” star Rami Malek won for actor. The Oscars also featured musical performances by Queen and Adam Lambert, as well as Jennifer Hudson, Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper, and Bette Midler.

Mercedes-Benz hosted their Annual Awards Viewing Party where select talent and industry insiders along with other invited guests enjoyed a live broadcast of the show within an elegant and comfortable environment at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills. At the event, guests including Estelle, Kelly Rowland, Tracee Ellis Ross, and more enjoyed passed hors d’oeuvres and drinks.

MPTF’s 17th Annual ‘Night Before’
Academy Awards nominees and presenters came together for the 17th annual ‘Night Before’ party to benefitting MPTF. The long list of A-list celebs in attendance included George Clooney, Glenn Close, Regina King, Rami Malek, Angela Bassett, Chadwick Boseman, Viola Davis, Ava DuVernay, Henry Golding, Meagan Good, Ginnifer Goodwin, Topher Grace, Tiffany Haddish, Vanessa Hudgens, Samuel L. Jackson, Michael B. Jordan, Heidi Klum, Spike Lee, Helen Mirren, Trevor Noah, Nicole Richie, Emma Roberts, Taylor Swift, Gabrielle Union, and more. The annual event raised $5 million to support MPTF’s charitable programs and services.

Vanity and Lancôme, along with Ava DuVernay and Zendaya, hosted a private cocktail reception honoring Women in Hollywood. The event, held at the Soho House West Hollywood, celebrated leading and inspirational women in the entertainment industry. Other celebs in attendance included Tiffany Haddish, Jaime King, Judith Light, Olivia Munn, Lupita Nyong’o, Tika Sumpter, Rumer Willis, and more. Guests enjoyed cocktails and drinks provided by Belvedere Vodka, Hennessy XO, Jane Walker by Johnnie Walker, and Peroni Nastro Azzurro.

Common, hosted ‘A Toast to the Arts Pre-Oscar Celebration’ at Ysabel honoring a group of diverse female artists who have used their voices to inspire and impact culture. This year’s honorees included Academy Award nominated Ruth Carter (BLACK PANTHER), writer-director and actor Rashida Jones (QUINCY), Academy Award nominee Regina King (IF BEALE STREET COULD TALK), actress Amandla Stenberg (THE HATE U GIVE) and director Chloe Zhao (THE RIDER).
