Orthopedic surgeon turned shoe designer, Taryn Rose, continues to marry fashion & footwear function to redefine high heels. In collaboration with architect/engineer Enrico Cuini, Taryn has released Enrico Cuini Footwear, a new collection of luxury heels that are made in Italy and feature ALIA (Active Lift in Alignment) “winged technology”. ALIA is made of carbon fiber, titanium, and nanotechnology resins so that it can respond to every step and keep the foot aligned and weight evenly distributed.
This groundbreaking shoe technology can make all types of footwear more comfortable due to the support it gives to all three arches of the foot resulting in decreased pressure on the forefoot and increased stability for foot and ankle. Bio mechanic testing has shown the heels have the equivalent pressure surface area as a sneaker with no high-pressure points in the ball of the foot. The “winged” design can be seen in the base at the bottom of each design. A solution to wearing fashion-forward high heels that are comfortable, imagine wearing 5-inch heels but feeling like you’re only in 2-inch heels?
