The Grove in Los Angeles celebrated the launch of Winford Candles, filmmaker Gregory Caruso’s new collection of natural-wax, hand-poured scented candles housed in custom ceramic vessels with a mid-century American design. Windford Candles debuted six distinct scents inspired by Caruso’s personal experiences including woods No.22, Neroli, River Rose, Sequoia Spice, Casablanca, and Apple Tobacco. The candle itself uniquely utilizes a natural wax combination of soy, coconut and beeswax instead of traditional paraffin wax.
Setting the mood, guests were welcomed to experience the collection housed in a vintage airstream, while enjoying small bites and classic cocktails. Fitting the design and lifestyle of the brand, the space featured a lounge area for guests to sit and enjoy the scents while listening to classic vinyl records.
“For me, scents are 100 percent nostalgic – they take us back somewhere we have been before and remind us of an experience. I wanted to bring to life a few scents that I find comforting, fresh and unique. Whether they take you back to a moment you can pinpoint exactly, or just evoke a feeling, it is my hope that Winford will take you on a journey,” said Caruso.
Priced at $50 each, Winford candles are now available for purchase online.
