Los Angeles Magazine ended 2017 with their annual ‘The Food Event’, rounding out the LA food festival season, where more than 3,000 food lovers enjoyed bites from top LA restaurants. The twelfth annual culinary extravaganza was held on October 15 at Saddlerock Ranch in Malibu Hills and featured great chefs, culinary experts, sommeliers, and unlimited food from some of LA’s best, hand selected restaurants, as well as tastings from wineries, spirits and other decadent treats.
The culinary experience featured samplings from 40 of L.A.’s best restaurants including 71 Above, 800 Degrees, Baltaire, Breakfast by Salt’s Cure, Eataly LA, ixlb Dim Sum Eats, and Manuela to name a few. Guests also indulged in sips of wine, beer, handcrafted cocktails, and spirits tastings from Beekeeper Cellars, Dunn Vineyards, Glenfiddich Whisky, Hendrick’s Gin, Malibu Family Wines, San Antonio Winery, and more.
Throughout the event, attendees enjoyed live cooking demonstrations by celebrity chefs, Miles Thompson (Michael’s), Jessica Largey (Simone), Maycoll Calderon (Tintorera), along with food family members Arjun, Nakul and Pawan Mahendro (Badmaash), who shared their recipes and cooking tips.
