Cara Santana hosted the grand opening of the SLS Baha Mar hotel, a $4.2 billion beachfront resort in the Bahamas. More than 700 guests joined the celebrations alongside sbe Founder & CEO Sam Nazarian, President of Baha Mar Graeme Davis, and Dr. Hubert Minnis, Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas. Guests sipped on Perrier-Jouët champagne and enjoyed bites from the latest restaurant to open at Baha Mar, Cleo, with specialty drinks from Monkey Bar in the hotel lobby. Everyone was welcomed with a steel drum band and entertained by belly dancers, water sphere performers, and an electric violinist who played from a floating stage at Bungalow Pool Bar & Grill.
Baha Mar is one of the largest hospitality projects ever built in the Western Hemisphere, and is moving towards phase three of the project which will arrive with the launch of Rosewood Baha Mar in spring 2018, when the resort destination will offer 2,300 rooms, suites and villas across three prominent hotel brands: Grand Hyatt Baha Mar, SLS Baha Mar and Rosewood Baha Mar. Resort amenities are shared among all hotel guests, including ESPA-branded spa; Jack Nicklaus Golf Club; Peter Burwash International tennis courts; pools & beaches; Baha Mar Casino; over 40 restaurants, bars and lounges and more than 30 luxury retail shopping outlets.
