Victoria Justice helped celebrate the back to school season by taking 15 Girl Up members on a shopping spree at H&M in Los Angeles on August 9. Victoria, wearing H&M, was on-site to host the event with Girl Up and helped the girls shop for all their back to school needs such as denim, backpacks, updated bombers with letterman details, plaid dresses, button downs, and more!
Girl Up is a campaign of the United Nations Foundation that seeks to empower adolescent girls everywhere by developing leadership skills, community mobilization, and training’s in advocacy, public speaking, and fundraising. Victoria has been a champion of the program since its start in 2010. H&M previously partnered with Girl Up on the launch of their 4th of July collection and in celebration of International Women’s Day in March.
During the back-to-school shopping spree, Victoria also helped educate the girls on H&M’s garment recycling program, which is a year-round initiative in every H&M store across the country, where shoppers bring in their unwanted clothing and home textiles in any condition from any brand and receive a 15% discount towards their next purchase. Just in time for back-to-school through August 20, H&M is offering a double discount to shoppers who donate with two 15% off coupons for every bag of unwanted items donated. For every pound collected, H&M donates to Keep America Beautiful, a non-profit organization focused on the environment and community improvement.
