The 30th Annual Race to Erase MS Gala, a momentous event dedicated to eradicating Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and supporting those affected by the disease, raised over $2 million at the annual event held on June 4. Held at the Fairmont Century Plaza, this star-studded affair brought out celebs including Ashlee Simpson Ross, Evan ross, Denise Richards, Alessandra Ambrosio, AnnaLynne McCord, Kathy Hilton, Rocky Barnes, Elisabeth Röhm, and more all united in their determination to find a cure for MS. The gala showcased remarkable musical performances by Flo Rida and Siedah Garrett, as well as a captivating fashion show by Cinq à Sept, featuring the Fall 2023 Fashion Collection.
Founded in 1993 by MS advocate and Center Without Walls founder Nancy Davis, the Race to Erase MS Gala has been instrumental in advancing groundbreaking research and generating hope, inspiration, and resources for the MS community. The funds raised during this landmark event will benefit the Race to Erase MS Foundation and its Center Without Walls program—a collaborative initiative among top MS research centers working together to pioneer innovative treatments and ultimately find a cure for the disease.
The evening was further highlighted by a luxurious live auction where attendees had the opportunity to bid on exclusive experiences such as a VIP chef’s experience from Steak 48, a lavish getaway to Aspen and Maui, and a two-day culinary extravaganza in Paris. The auction’s centerpiece was the Aston Martin DBX707 AMR23 Edition, signed by Lance Stroll and Fernando Alonso, accompanied by invitations to a Formula One race.
The event also featured a heartfelt video montage celebrating the last thirty years of the Race to Erase MS Gala. The touching tribute showcased past performances by iconic artists like Earth, Wind & Fire, Elton John, and Stevie Wonder, as well as testimonials from doctors and stories from patients.
Since its inception, the Race to Erase MS Foundation has raised over $58 million, significantly contributing to the development of 25 FDA-approved therapies and providing hope and resources to those affected by MS. The gala’s direct beneficiaries are the foundation’s Center Without Walls program, which brings together leading MS research scientists and investigators from renowned institutions, including Cedars-Sinai, Harvard, Yale, and UCLA, to drive collaborative research efforts and advance the search for a cure.
