Chevrolet was the presenting sponsor for last months Tailgate Fest country music festival in Southern California boasting an impressive second-year line up including Brantley Gilbert, Brett Eldredge, Tyler Farr, Lee Brice, Clint Black, Big Boi (From OutKast) just to name a few. Tailgate Fest was a two-day summer music festival that combined the pre-party energy of big game tailgating with top tier country music performances where fans could bring their own grills, coolers, games, and listen to the music from the comfort of their vehicle tailgate. Festivalgoers even got the chance to stop by the Chevrolet display to check out the ultimate tailgating line-up including the all-new fully-stocked 2019 Chevrolet Silverado along with the Colorado, Traverse and Equinox.
Now, after a long hot summer of music festivals, Football season is in full swing! Football and tailgating festivities go hand in hand and to fully enjoy the experience, you need a truck that helps you take in all the grilling, chilling, and gaming before the big game. The 2019 Chevy Silverado levels-up your tailgate game in every way imaginable, checking all the boxes as a great truck for work and play.
The 2019 Silverado is a four-door truck and features best-in-class cargo and hauling capacity with plenty of fixed tie-down points throughout the bed for securing your grills, Eazy-Ups, well-stocked coolers, folding tables, and portable chairs. While the doors, hood and tailgate are all aluminum, the steel frame is 88 pounds lighter in the next-gen Silverado. That makes for a great ride and can handle whatever you throw in, for work or leisure.
Additionally, The 2019 Chevy Silverado High Country has a first-of-its-kind power lift tailgate; just press the button on the key fab or pull on the handle for the tailgate and it goes up and down automatically. No extra exertion or muscle required, and it’s a great benefit if you’re constantly in-and-out of the bed of your truck. It also features an optional 120-volt power outlet in the bed of the truck, perfect for recharging a phone or a bluetooth speaker without entering the cab.
The interior features all the usual bells and whistles you’d expect in a brand new truck: A console featuring Chevy’s Infotainment 3 system, with an 8-inch HD touch screen, Bluetooth, USB charging ports, a seven-speaker Bose audio system, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. Certain editions feature a sunroof, a Wi-Fi hot spot, dual-zone automatic climate control, keyless entry, remote start, and in-cab 120-volt power outlets, and wireless device.
