Style & Society’s Kinya Claiborne joined the first-ever Black Girl Magic Tour as a panelist at its Los Angeles stop on January 16 at Sugarfina. The five-city pop-up tour is intended to celebrate and connect African-American women in business with visionary panels from the fields of retail, entertainment, beauty, activism, media as well as side-hustle experts, influencers and more.
Co-sponsored by Bumble BFF, a simplified way to create meaningful friendships and future besties, more than 100 boss babes attended the Los Angeles kickoff for a day of connectivity and women empowerment. The trend toward empowerment events aimed at encouraging entrepreneurship and business advancement for women is still much-needed in todays society. The core focus of the Black Girl Magic is to connect, engage and inform women around key topics surrounding entrepreneurship with the tools and resources needed as a modern working woman. The Black Girl Magic Los Angeles panelists included Kinya Claiborne (media maven, style influencer and editor-in-chief of Style & Society Magazine), Marty McDonald (founder of Boss Women Media and Black Girl Magic), Destiney Green (content creator, blogger), and more.
From launching a blog or a business, developing content strategies or taking existing plans to the next level, guests networked with like-minded women while hearing advice from the best in the industry. Attendees enjoyed photo moments from Hollywood Photobooth, breakfast bites from Milk and Eggs, along with healthy plant-based protein drinks and snacks from OWYN. Women left inspired, impacted and connected.
