Jordan Brand is giving guys sneaker-envy with the highly anticipated ‘Season of Her’ collection, the brands first-ever dedicated women’s collection of shoes for Spring 2018. Reenvisioning the ’85 classic with the ladies in mind, the collection combines luxurious satin fabrics mixed with luscious premium suede. An acknowledgement of Air Jordan’s demographic of sneaker-crazed women, the colorful collection features three exclusive styles that are both fashion-forward and fit for the streets.
The Air Jordan 1 ‘Season of Her’ collection includes ten pastel, metallic colors ranging from Hydrogen Blue to Ice Peach. The silhouette and Jumpman stay true to the Jordan identity while tapping into femininity. This satin, suede sneaker collection has a retro vibe that is taken to new heights with white midsoles and semi-translucent outsoles. The Air Jordan 1 ‘Season of Her’ is priced at $160.
The AJI Retro Hi Zip is reminiscent of the Air Jordan 1 with its distortion of the latter’s silhouette from 1985. While the swoosh has been completely removed from the shoe, Hi Zip pays homage to its precedent with its red Nike logo on the tongue. The sneaker also has a sock liner that provides comfort and support. It will be available starting March 8 in two colorways and priced at $150.
The Women’s Air Jordan XII Vachetta Tan colorway is a spruced up version of the XII. Its gold accents break up the flooded, suede Vachetta while managing to keep cohesion with a solid flow. Unlike its counterparts in the collection, the Vachetta Tan carries it Jumpman on the accents of the show and has Jordan 23 stretching from the backstay to the midsole. The lack of logo in the quarter panel and foxing of the shoe recreate the chicness and sophistication of a woman. The Women’s Air Jordan XII Vachetta Tan will be available starting March 23 for $190.
To pacify the wait between releases and to get into the Valentine’s Day spirit, Jordan Brand released its Jordan VIII, just in time for Valentine’s Day. The sneaker boasts an all red, suede design accented with black and pink, a rose on the insoles, heart designs and Valentine messages on the interior. The shoes are priced for $190 and are available for a limited time.
