Fashion and music came together to celebrate the launch of GUESS 1981 Men’s Fragrance and the new single/video “Boom Boom” by RedOne, Daddy Yankee, and French Montana at POPPY, h.wood’s newest nightclub on October 26. The club, designed by John Sofio of Built, Inc., was nothing short of whimsical. In the entrance area, a cluster of red flowers spilled from wire baskets hanging from the greenery-covered ceiling trellis. The GUESS photo booth was adorned with gold and silver orb-shaped balloons, providing a glamorous backdrop for partygoers. Guest sampled GUESS’ rugged new scent while enjoying signature GUESS cocktails playing off of the fragrance notes of violet leaves and cedarwood. Celebs in attendance included Normani Kordei of Fifth Harmony, Shaggy, sisters Delilah and Amelia Hamlin, along with a few personalities from The Bachelor franchise, Corinne Olympios and DeMario Jackson.
To launch the fragrance, GUESS partnered with Grammy award-winning producer & artist, RedOne, who premiered the music video for his single “Boom Boom” during the event on a large-screen as the crowd cheered with enthusiasm. The music video showcases two friends teleporting themselves from Los Angeles to Morocco—a beach in Cabo Negro, the streets of Tétouan and the Royal Mansour Marrakech hotel, to name a few. The music video served as a perfect representation of the fragrance, evoking a sense of freedom and adventure, encouraging the GUESS Man to follow his passions and live in the moment without reservation, the inspiration behind GUESS’ 1981.
