The FIDM Museum and the Television Academy hosted a reception for the opening of their ‘Art of Television Costume Design’ exhibition, honoring the 69th Emmy Award Nominees for Outstanding Costumes. Celebrating the new “Golden Age” of TV programming, the exhibition includes Emmy-nominated costumes including Big Little Lies, Grace and Frankie, FEUD: Bette and Joan, The Crown, The Handmaid’s Tale, Westward, Dancing with the Stars, Hairspray Live! and RuPaul’s Drag Race.
Giving visitors an opportunity to review their favorite TV shows and characters, the annual exhibition celebrates television costume design and includes over 100 costumes from 25 television shows selected from a variety of television genres including episodic series, limited series, variety, nonfiction and reality programming. Located in the FIDM Museum at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in Downtown Los Angeles, the exhibition is free and open to the public now through October 7.
