Grammy Award-winning artist Lenny Kravitz is set to headline the 23rd annual InterContinental Miami Make-A-Wish Ball on November 4, 2017. Regarded as one of the preeminent rock musicians of our time and selling over 40 million albums worldwide, Kravitz has transcended genre, style, and race, all compiled into a 20-year musical career. In addition to his numerous career accomplishments, Kravitz’s philanthropic endeavors contribute to making a difference in the lives of others by supporting causes such as Artists Against Racism, Elevate Hope Foundation, and WhyHunger.
The theme of this year’s ball is Mystical Music Box inspired by enchantment, fantasy and art. Nearly 1,000 guests will be welcomed to the star-studded fundraiser benefiting Make-A-Wish Southern Florida, which grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions. The event will commence with a lavish cocktail reception where guests will enjoy specialty cocktails and gourmet food stations while bidding at the Ball’s silent auction. The silent auction is known as one of the most extravagant galas in South Florida. It features coveted items donated by top hospitality, entertainment, fashion, and luxury brands.
With a more than 20-year charitable partnership, InterContinental Miami has contributed more than $10.4 million through in-kind donations to Make-A-Wish Southern Florida. These donations have enabled the organization to raise more than $21.3 million resulting in over 4,300 wishes being granted to children with life-threatening medical conditions in our community. Since 1983, Make-A-Wish Southern Florida has granted more than 10,000 wishes to children who have life-threatening medical conditions and grants a wish every 16-hours, every day of the year, at an average cost of $5,000.
