Hendriks is no stranger to the New York City food scene but their new café and rooftop are set to be right on time for warm weather and sunny skies. We can expect the new garden patio to be open in June. A new rooftop dining experience, complete with an all new food and cocktail menu, is set to open in July. These new additions will add to the already striking ambiance of the cafe complete with white exposed brick walls and geometrically designed mirrors.
Both the space and the menu of Hendriks have been overhauled by the owner, Himansu Patel. You can find classic American dishes with a little spin that’ll make your mouth water. Smoked salmon topped deviled eggs and lamb meatballs are just a couple favorites from the appetizer menu. The fresh rosemary gnocchi in a truffle cream sauce with kale, smoked pear, chestnuts and Parmesan is a staple pasta at the establishment. If you want typical American cuisine, you may want to try the black Angus burger with aged cheddar, smoked onion jam and pickles. It’s not your average burger and you won’t find this flavor combination anywhere else.
In addition to a global wine list influenced by Hendriks’ managers, they offer a variety of unique and tasty cocktails. The True Blood cocktail features gin, triple sec, lemon juice, and Malbec, while the Gin Fizz is made of fresh lime, mint, St. Germaine, and club soda. They also whip up classics such as mojitos. Swing by Hendriks to try one for yourself.
