Deer Path Inn, the historic English manor house in the picturesque City of Lake Forest, recently reopened after an extensive year-long renovation. Located along Chicago’s North Shore, The Deer Path Inn is a luxury British inn that debuted in 1929 as a popular pastoral retreat for Chicagoans. For almost nine decades, the 57-room Tudor-style property has served as a retreat from metropolitan cities and is best known for welcoming guests with unparalleled experiences and grand English traditions.
The Inn’s recent 21st century renaissance updated the antiquated infrastructure with modern conveniences in each guest room, upgraded amenities and cutting edge technology throughout the property. Guest rooms were completely redone, with unique amenities and furnishings curated to enhance the inn’s classic design for a modern lifestyle. Additionally, public spaces were refurbished and restored, including all dining outlets, the Garden Courtyard, which was voted the best wedding venue throughout the Northshore by Modern Luxury’s Northshore magazine.
The updated inn also features three dining establishments, including an authentic English Pub, a contemporary bar, and The English Room, a AAA Four-Diamond restaurant. The award-winning restaurant has also been recognized by Zagat and the Distinguished Restaurants of North America, as well as Wine Spectator magazine for having the “most outstanding wine list in the world” 19 years in a row.
