During the MTV VMA’s, the Pepsi Stage took over the streets of Downtown Los Angeles with performances by Pharrell Williams, Demi Lovato, Iggy Azalea, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. At the outdoor concert experience, Pepsi provided its fans with unforgettable pop culture moments as these performers entertained a crowd of 2,000+ fans outside The Orpheum Theatre, as well as viewers at home and online, complementing the awards show performances taking place at Microsoft Theater.
Fans watching the live broadcast enjoyed Macklemore and Ryan Lewis performing their newest single “Downtown,” accompanied by rap icons Kool Moe Dee and Grandmaster Caz. During her first-ever VMAs show performance, Demi Lovato sang “Cool for the Summer” while she floated through the audience in an inflatable raft and brought out surprise guest Iggy Azalea. Shortly after accepting his award, presenter John Legend jetted to the remote Pepsi Stage to introduce Pharrell Williams, who sang “Freedom” while the crowd waved flags in the air, which was completed with a firework show.
