British Polo Day, presented by Land Rover, returns to the USA on May 30 to ‘swing their mallets’ for British luxury heritage for its second stateside match. Hosted by the President of the Will Rogers Polo Club, Andrew Bossom and British Polo Day’s USA Representative and member of the British Royal Family, Lord Frederick Windsor; guests and VIPs will be treated to a day of fast-paced polo on the field and a quintessential afternoon tea, while mixing and mingling with British Royals at Los Angeles’ historic Will Rogers Polo Club.
With the success of last year’s inaugural British Polo Day USA raising funds for charity, the 2015 event is set to raise the bar ever-higher with a charity auction including a private Surf Air vineyard getaway for two, five nights at the Six Senses Laamu in the Maldives and four nights at the dazzling Royal Mansour in Marrakesh. As part of their ongoing commitment to philanthropy, which has raised nearly $1.5 million for charities worldwide, proceeds will benefit local Los Angeles charity, Homeboy Industries and The UK Stem Cell Foundation.
The British Polo Day USA is part of the British Polo Day Global Series, includes ten annual events, spanning Abu Dhabi, Australia, China, Dubai, France, Germany, Great Britain, India, Mexico, Morocco, Russia, Singapore, Sumba Island (Indonesia) and Thailand, each featuring polo players from some of Britain’s leading institutions, competing against teams from the host country.
