Last week, FX Network kicked off a national advance screening tour to promote their new drama series “Snowfall,” including stops in Los Angeles, Atlanta, Dallas, New Orleans, and St. Louis. In Los Angeles, over 300 people attended the “Snowfall” screening at The Landmark in Westwood, including hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons, recording artist Omarion, and model Rocsi Diaz. FX Network also hosted a screening in Dallas during the annual MegaFest conference where Malik Yoba attended, among other celebs. Each of the advance screenings included a moderated a Q&A with co-creators John Singleton and Dave Andron, along with cast members Isaiah John, Angela Lewis, Michael Hyatt, and Juan Javier Cardenas.
“Snowfall” is a one-hour drama set against the infancy of the crack cocaine epidemic and its ultimate radical impact on the culture as we know it. The story follows numerous characters on a violent collision course, including Franklin Saint (Damson Idris), Gustavo “El Oso” Zapata (Sergio Peris-Mencheta), Teddy McDonald (Carter Hudson), and Lucia Villanueva (Emily Rios).
“Snowfall” is set to premiere on July 5th at 10/9c on FX Networks.
