FOX screened the new series “Shots Fired” for over 300 VIPs at Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood on March 16. Show creators and executive producers Reggie Bythewood, Gina Prince-Bythewood and Francie Calfo were on hand along with cast members Sanaa Lathan, Stephan James, Mack Wilds and Stephen Moyer. Celebs in attendance included Debbie Allen, Morris Chestnut, Terry McMillan, Vanessa Williams, Regina Hall, Michael Jai White, Kenny Lattimore, Estelle, and many more.
Google also screened “Shots Fired” for hundreds of Googlers at the tech company’s Mountain View headquarters. This screening comes on the heels of Google’s recently announced $11.5 million investment into organizations that are fighting for racial justice. Gina Prince-Bythewood and Reggie Bythewood and cast members Mack Wilds and Aisha Hinds were in attendance and participated in a post-screening Q&A along with Rapper and Bay Area native E-40.
Shots Fired is a 10-part event mystery that examines the dangerous aftermath of two racially charged shootings by law enforcement in a small southern town. The series premieres March 22 at 8/7c on FOX, prior to the spring return of “Empire” at 9/8c.
