Fashion designers Brian Wolk and Claude Morais premiered Wolk Morais Collection 4 in a fashion show at Harlowe in West Hollywood on November 13. The new Wolk Morais collection, which is designed, sourced, and manufactured in Los Angeles, is a post-modern take on 1930’s pre-code cinema juxtaposed with the syncopated street style of Fairfax Avenue.
Marking their fourth site-specific Los Angeles inspired collection, the label focuses on the concept of season-less dressing, hence the designers’ decision to number their collections rather than adhering to classic conventions. The collection includes fabrications and silhouettes that are defined by their integrity and usefulness rather than a retail delivery window. Working with celebrity stylist Elizabeth Stewart, they continue to illustrate California-centric stories in this after-hours inspired collection.
With careers spanning the globe working in fashion capitols including Paris, Tokyo, and New York, Wolk and Morais partnered with Teen Cancer in America and dedicated the show to building awareness of the cause by designing a custom lapel pin for guests to wear for the event.
