amfAR Raises More Than $3 Million at Star-Studded Inspiration Gala
Gwyneth Paltrow, Julia Roberts, Lady Gaga, amfAR Global Campaign Chair Sharon Stone, and amfAR Chairman Kenneth Cole were among the stars who gathered at the sixth annual amfAR Inspiration Gala Los Angeles to pay tribute to Ryan Murphy in recognition of his contributions to the fight against AIDS. Presented by Harry Winston and M•A•C Viva Glam, the star-studded gala was held at Milk Studio and raised $3.1 million for amfAR’s life-saving AIDS research programs.
Gwyneth Paltrow hosted the black-tie benefit, which featured a colorful and competitive live auction, conducted by amfAR’s Global Campaign Chair Sharon Stone, who encouraged guests to give generously to amfAR’s efforts to find a cure for AIDS. The evening ended with a powerful and moving performance by Lady Gaga, who received standing ovations throughout her entire set, which included her latest emotional ballad, “Till It Happens To You.” Other celebs in attendance included Angela Bassett, Jamie Lee Curtis, Lea Michele, Emma Roberts, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Alessandra Ambrosio, Jaime King, Diane von Furstenberg, Zendaya and Rachel Zoe.
