Tartine Santa Monica has officially expanded its offerings with the launch of dinner service, now available Wednesday through Sunday from 5–9 p.m., bringing its signature fermented sourdough pizza to Los Angeles for the first time. Already beloved in the Bay Area, Tartine pizza arrives in Santa Monica with a menu of eight distinct options, ranging from a classic margherita to inventive creations like a pineapple–pepperoni pie with black garlic plum tomato sauce, and a pepper pizza layered with arrabiata, shishitos, sweety drop peppers, and chermoula. The dough itself is distinctly Tartine: made with the Biga method, blended with Tartine’s iconic sourdough starter and durum flour, then cold-fermented for two days to create a light, crispy crust with rich, complex flavor.
The dinner menu also features a variety of shareable plates and savory specialties designed to complement the pizza. Diners can start with fresh produce-driven salads and Tartine’s signature country bread, paired with dips like smoked trout, whipped ricotta, or hummus with sunflower dukkah. Heartier dishes include steak tartare tartine topped with shoyu egg and crispy lotus root, as well as roasted spatchcock chicken with gigantes beans, smoked tomatillo puree, and herbs. To finish, desserts carry Tartine’s creative spirit, offering peach polenta cake with vanilla gelato, chocolate rye devil’s food cake, and a butterscotch budino served with walnut butter cookies.
The beverage program includes a thoughtfully curated selection of wines, beers, and cocktails. Options range from spritzes and chilled reds to local craft beers, designed to pair seamlessly with pizza and savory dishes. Guests can enjoy dinner and drinks al fresco on the ivy-lined patio under glowing string lights or inside the historic Tudor Revival-style chapel, originally built in 1933 and reimagined as Tartine Santa Monica in 2020. Future plans include happy hours, live music, winemaker events, and special culinary collaborations to further elevate the dining experience.
With the introduction of dinner service, Tartine Santa Monica transitions from a daytime bakery into a full-service dining destination. By debuting its celebrated sourdough pizza in Los Angeles, Tartine offers locals and visitors alike a new way to experience its renowned craftsmanship—continuing its legacy of innovation, fermentation, and culinary excellence.
