Tartine Bakery has officially opened its sixth location in Los Angeles, bringing its beloved offerings to Venice Beach. This new outpost marks Tartine’s second location on the westside, joining its popular cafes in Santa Monica, Sycamore, Silver Lake, West Adams, and Pasadena. The Venice location continues Tartine’s tradition of serving high-quality bread, artisanal pastries, and savory breakfast and lunch items, along with Tartine coffee and freshly-brewed tea. However, the new bakery also introduces exclusive dishes to the menu, making it a must-visit for food enthusiasts in the area.
Among the new offerings are French Toast made with Tartine’s signature croissant bread, accompanied by seasonal stone fruit and maple syrup, and the Soft Scramble Tartine, which combines labneh, white cheddar, smoked trout roe, and horseradish on Tartine’s country bread. Another standout dish is the Croque Madame, featuring gruyere, black forest ham, bechamel, and dijon mustard, all layered between slices of country bread and topped with melted gruyere and a sunny-side-up egg.
Tartine Venice offers a wide selection of freshly baked pastries, including croissants, scones, cookies, teacakes, and tarts. Guests can also enjoy savory dishes like a perfectly-cooked omelette with soft herbs and white cheddar, a seasonal vegetable quiche, or a smoked salmon tartine. For those looking for something more indulgent, the double smashburger, served with grass-fed beef, fennel confit, and celery remoulade on a sweet potato bun, is sure to satisfy.
The 2,400-square-foot space in Venice embodies Tartine’s signature light and airy aesthetic, with a modern indoor/outdoor design that includes patio seating surrounded by lush greenery. Located in a mixed-use residential building, the bakery’s interior features glass and steel construction, rustic finishes, and large-scale original artwork by artist Adele Renault, whose vibrant blue and green paintings of abstract plant life add warmth and texture to the space. The bakery’s reclaimed antique bread shelf and open kitchen further enhance the inviting atmosphere.
Tartine Venice brings a fresh energy to the westside, offering both long-time fans and new visitors a chance to experience the bakery’s artisanal approach to food in a beautiful and welcoming environment.
