AltaMed Health Services is set to presents its signature Food & Wine Festivals in Southern California, “East LA Meets Napa: A Celebration of Argentina” at L.A. LIVE on Friday, July 26, 7-10 p.m., and the 5th annual “OC Meets Napa” at Mission San Juan Capistrano on Saturday, July 27, 7-10 p.m. Now in its 14th year, AltaMed’s East LA Meets Napa is a unique event that celebrates the richness of Latin food in Los Angeles and the success of Latino-owned vineyards in California.
East LA Meets Napa will take attendees on a wine tasting journey, stretching from the famed Napa Valley to the vast wine regions of Argentina. Guests will have the opportunity to combine their favorite food and wine to discover their own perfect blend, and learn about pairing practices. Live music will set the scene while patrons enjoy tastings from over 70 top LA restaurants and premium vintners, including tastings from viticultural areas in Argentina, presented by world-renowned celebrity chefs and vintners.
With the slogan “Savor, Celebrate, Support AltaMed,” all proceeds from the events benefit AltaMed’s efforts to provide healthcare, dental care, senior services, HIV treatment and prevention, teen mentoring programs, and health education to families in Los Angeles and Orange County.
