Refinery29’s cultural phenomenon 29Rooms “Expand Your Reality” pop-up exhibition hit Los Angeles last week including immersive touchpoints, live theatrics, and artist in residence experiences. The five-day pop-up featured the most popular installations from the 29Rooms pop-up in New York, along with a few additions for Los Angeles. Celebs and brands collaborators spanning the spectrum of art, style, entertainment, technology, social good, and more, played a role in the shared storytelling experience and curated room designs including Nicole Richie, Kesha, Lena Waithe, GLAAD & The Trans Chorus of Los Angeles, and LA-based woman artists.
The interactive pop-up offered guests the chance to experiment with social and immersive technologies where guests were able to activate the 29th Dimension in Instagram, a specially curated augmented reality experience on Instagram Stories. A few of our favorite instagram-worthy brand-themed rooms included Amazon Prime Video’s The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Pantene, Birchbox and more.
