In celebration of Guess’ 35th Anniversary, the global lifestyle brand celebrated with a grand opening debut of “GUESS: 35 years & Still Dreaming,” a retrospective exhibition at the FIDM Museum & Galleries, located at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Downtown Los Angeles. Guests enjoyed a cocktail reception where they sipped on Svedka cocktails and were personally walked through the exhibit by Paul Marciano, co-founder of Guess, Inc. Celebs in attendance included Skai Jackson, Draya Michelle, and Shaun Ross.
In the early eighties, the Marciano brothers invited the world to view jeans differently, challenging Los Angeles laundries to use innovative stonewash techniques. This groundbreaking approach to the wash process helped solidify the brand as a pioneer in the denim industry. Famous for creating the stonewash, the high waisted Marilyn 3-zip jean, and iconic ad campaigns, the exhibition offers an in-depth exploration of denim and the pop culture moments that solidified Guess as a pioneer in fashion. Visit the FIDM Museum and Galleries to explore the rich heritage of Guess and its impact on fashion and pop culture. The exhibit is free and now open to the public through July 8th.
