Style Fashion Week, the producer of globally recognized fashion events, welcomed a full house at Pacific Design Center for Malan Breton’s FW17 runway show on the first day of Style Fashion Week Los Angeles. Titled “The 7 Deadly Sins”, Malan’s presentation married the glitz and glamour of the 1930s with the darkness Hollywood’s uncensored pre-code film noir era. The cinematically inspired runway show featuring nearly a hundred different looks showcasing bridal, swim, outerwear, accessories, and men’s looks.
Taiwanese-born American fashion designer Malan Breton’s designs have appeared on the world’s brightest stars, and most elite red carpets and award shows. His looks have appeared several commercials, including the most current Dove campaign, and designed the wardrobe for Lady Gaga’s 2017 half-time Pepsi Super Bowl commercial. With strong roots in television and film, Malan stared in Bravo’s “Project Runway” and hosted Bravo TV’s The Malan Show. He made several television appearances on Top Model as a guest host/judge in multiple countries. Malan and NBC Universal were a nominee for the WGSN Global Fashion Award for Outstanding collaboration and he was also the recipient of the 2015 NYIFF Award for best documentary short, for his work as a director on the fashion film “Malan Breton – A Journey to Taiwan”.
