Delta Air Lines’ Brings Christmas Cheer to Children’s Hospital at ‘Holiday in the Hangar’ Celebration

Delta Air Lines hosted its fifth annual Holiday in the Hangar, a special holiday celebration for kids from Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and P.S. ARTS at the Los Angeles World Airport (LAX) on December 2, 2015. Spreading extra holiday cheer, Pretty Little Liars’ Shay Mitchell and Disney Star Rowan Blanchard joined Delta Airlines and surprised over 130 kids at the “North Pole,” a LAX hangar transformed into a winter wonderland.

The kids boarded a chartered Delta flight to the Hangar and upon arrival, were greeted by special guests including the Coca-Cola Polar Bear, LA Kings alumni Derek Armstrong, LA Lakers alumni A.C. Green, The Lakers Girls and Po from Kung Fu Panda. Throughout the day, the children were treated to holiday activities, face painting, dancing, games provided by the LA Lakers and LA Kings, drumming with the GRAMMY museum, crafts, lunch and snacks.
