Tina Knowles, Tyrese Gibson & John Singleton Support ‘Sunshine Beyond Summer’ Benefitting The Reed For Hope Foundation
EMMY Award-winning Casting Director and Talent Executive, Robi Reed hosted the 13th annual end-of-summer soiree “Sunshine Beyond Summer– The Day Party With A Purpose” benefitting the Reed For Hope Foundation on September 13 in Los Angeles. During the event, Reed recognized honorees Steve and Lisa Vasquez of ‘Cooking With Gabby’ with the 2015 Community Service Award and presented the 2015 Sunshine Award to AJ Johnson, Boris and Nicole Kodjoe, Dondre Whitfield, Salli Richardson-Whitfield, John Salley and Wesley Jonathan for their work in promoting health care and awareness to the community.
In addition to delicious cuisine and cocktails, guests also enjoyed surprise musical performances by Marsha Ambrosius (Floetry Reunion), Tyrese Gibson & Keith Robinson. Other celeb supporters in attendance included Tina Knowles, John Singleton, Garcelle Beauvais, Howard Hewett, Tasha Smith, Nia Long, Tisha Campbell, Duane Martin, and many others.
The Reed For Hope Foundation’s mission is to improve the vitality of the global village by changing specific cultural attitudes about wellness, disease prevention and health disparities through the strategic implementation of messages that impact pop culture. Highlighting the health and wellness needs for the African-American community, the annual fundraiser raises awareness on the prevention of life threatening illnesses while bringing focus, action and hope to causes that enhance the quality of living.
