Tony Hawk’s Stand Up For Skateparks Benefit in Beverly Hills Returns October 11
The Tony Hawk Foundation announced it is returning to Beverly Hills for its 12th-Annual Tony Hawk’s Stand Up For Skateparks benefit on Sunday, October 11, 2015 at Green Acres Estate. This one-of-a-kind action-sports exhibition will feature a Vert Demo with Tony Hawk and other skateboarding and BMX icons riding Hawk’s personal ramp while legendary DJ Z-Trip creates their soundtrack, spinning live from the deck.
Tony Hawk’s Stand Up For Skateparks benefit is a family-friendly action-sports carnival that includes games, food, and live and silent auctions with one-of-a-kind items and experiences, plus special-guest performances. Proceeds support the Tony Hawk Foundation’s mission to empower youth through the creation of free, quality, public skateparks in low-income communities throughout the U.S., and Internationally with programs that enrich the lives of youth through skateboarding.
This year’s event will be co-chaired by Tony Hawk and Eve and Maximillion Cooper. Since launching in 2004, the annual Stand Up For Skateparks benefit has raised over $9.3-million dollars to benefit the Tony Hawk Foundation, the charitable arm that promotes and provides technical assistance and funds for high-quality public skateparks in low-income areas throughout the United States that promote healthy, active lifestyles, and to International programs that enrich the lives of youth through skateboarding.
