MCM Worldwide, the Munich-based luxury travel and accessories brand, opened its newest retail location in Beverly Center located in Los Angeles just in time for holiday shopping. The new 2,000 square-foot store officially carries styles from heritage and seasonal MCM collections including handbags, apparel, luggage and small travel items, accessories, eyewear, and much more.
The 12th retail location in the U.S., the store design stands true to MCM’s brand aesthetic; featuring signature design elements which marry new architectural details to the brand’s heritage in a modern way. On the exterior, expansive monogrammed brass plates join to form a checkerboard pattern for the storefront portal. Inside, gray stone floors extend throughout the space, where custom fixtures in brass and ash veneer display the luxury German heritage merchandise. The use of brass throughout as a key design element, partnered with a neutral and warm surrounding color palette, creates a subtle industrial edge and highlights the metal hardware used as finishing features in MCM’s leather goods.
MCM is currently sold in 500 stores in 39 countries including Munich, Berlin, Zurich, London, Paris, Los Angeles, New York, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, Seoul and Tokyo.
