Summit LA19 @ Downtown Los Angeles

Summit, one of the world’s premier ideas festivals with a global community of today’s brightest leaders, announced today details on the Culinary program for their annual flagship event. Summit LA19 will take place November 8th-11th, 2019 in Downtown Los Angeles, and feature renowned chefs, authors, bartenders, and brands in the food and beverage industry, as they educate, inspire and sustain over 3,000 attendees throughout the weekend. Featured culinary pioneers will join the world class lineup, including the mother of the American Farm-to-Table Movement Alice Waters; Co-Owner of Mozza Restaurant Group Nancy Silverton; artist, designer, and urban farming champion Ron Finley aka “The Gangsta Gardener;” chef and author Bricia Lopez of Guelaguetza and Mama Rabbit; activist, sommelier, and award-winning bartender Ashtin Berry; as well as food personality and James Beard Award winner Bill Esparza.Summit will incorporate ingredients from local farms in their daily offerings, and donate food product to local shelters in partnership with Twice New, a foundation that redistributes event food product and service items to local charitable organizations. Lunches will feature a plant-forward menu in partnership with Executive Chef Haru Kishi, Adina Neimerow and The Copper Key.Summit will also produce a number of thematic dining events including a groundbreaking cannabis dinner, natural wine pairings, a Kamayan style Filipino feasts and sustainable southern comfort cuisine. The event also offers exclusive reservations at some of DTLA’s hottest local restaurants.
In addition to feeding guests through these various pop-ups, experiences and surprises, Culinary will present hands-on workshops, cooking and mixology classes, and talks on important threads in hospitality, food and drink, including health, policy, and inclusion.

The Los Angeles Coffee Festival @ The Magic Box @ The Reef

The Los Angeles Coffee Festival is returning for the second year in a row, taking place November 8th – 10th at the Magic Box @ The Reef in Downtown LA! The Los Angeles Coffee Festival will have a number of elements and installations for coffee geeks and foodies alike, including a Coffee Cocktail Bar, Latte Art Live, and The Lab, as well as the Coffee Masters USA, The Kitchen, and Street Food Market, making it a very unique festival. The weekend-long event will feature not only exceptional coffee, but also incredible local food, cocktails, live music, art and film. The wide variety of coffee vendors and other exciting brands will include but are not limited to: Bluestone Lane, Black & White Coffee Roasters, Minor Figures, Califia Farms, Rishi Tea, Truth Coffee Roasting and so many more. It will also debut the Coffee Masters USA competition, where 16 baristas will showcase their skills head-to-head across a broad range of disciplines.
