Eat See Hear Presents PSYCHO @ Autry Museum of the American West

Join us Saturday, October 5, as Eat|See|Hear, the original traveling outdoor cinema series, closes out its 2019 season with a special viewer’s choice screening of the classic 1960 Hitchcock thriller, PSYCHO! Phoenix secretary Marion Crane (Janet Leigh), on the lam after stealing $40,000 from her employer to run away with her boyfriend, is overcome by exhaustion during a heavy rainstorm. Traveling on the back roads to avoid the police, she stops for the night at the ramshackle Bates Motel and meets the polite but highly strung proprietor Norman Bates (Anthony Perkins), a young man with an interest in taxidermy and a difficult relationship with his mother. Projected on to the largest inflatable movie screen on the West Coast, the film will follow a musical performance by L.A.-based retro indie rocker MAWD and bites from some of L.A.’s most delicious food trucks.(Doors 5:30pm, Music 7pm, Movie 8:30pm)

The Spring/Summer 2020 lineup kicks off with an exclusive invite-only show on October 8th where world-renowned international fashion designer and former Chanel and Givenchy Creative Director, Julien Macdonald, will present a never before seen ready-to-wear Spring 2020 collection. The five-day week of extraordinary fashion starting October 8 through October 12, includes California’s own Coral Castillo, known for her edgy yet feminine fashions, recognized for her work as the winner of this year’s Moss Adams Fashion Innovator (MAFI) Award. Summit, one of the world’s premier ideas festivals with a global community of today’s brightest leaders, announced today details on the Culinary program for their annual flagship event. Summit LA19 will take place November 8th-11th, 2019 in Downtown Los Angeles, and feature renowned chefs, authors, bartenders, and brands in the food and beverage industry, as they educate, inspire and sustain over 3,000 attendees throughout the weekend. Featured culinary pioneers will join the world class lineup, including the mother of the American Farm-to-Table Movement Alice Waters; Co-Owner of Mozza Restaurant Group Nancy Silverton; artist, designer, and urban farming champion Ron Finley aka “The Gangsta Gardener;” chef and author Bricia Lopez of Guelaguetza and Mama Rabbit; activist, sommelier, and award-winning bartender Ashtin Berry; as well as food personality and James Beard Award winner Bill Esparza.Summit will incorporate ingredients from local farms in their daily offerings, and donate food product to local shelters in partnership with Twice New, a foundation that redistributes event food product and service items to local charitable organizations. Lunches will feature a plant-forward menu in partnership with Executive Chef Haru Kishi, Adina Neimerow and The Copper Key.Summit will also produce a number of thematic dining events including a groundbreaking cannabis dinner, natural wine pairings, a Kamayan style Filipino feasts and sustainable southern comfort cuisine. The event also offers exclusive reservations at some of DTLA’s hottest local restaurants.
In addition to feeding guests through these various pop-ups, experiences and surprises, Culinary will present hands-on workshops, cooking and mixology classes, and talks on important threads in hospitality, food and drink, including health, policy, and inclusion.
