Since Games of Thrones’ sixth season finale aired over a month ago, many of us have been looking for ways to fill the void before season seven begins next year. According to the show’s co-creators, David Benioff and D. B. Weiss, season seven will premier in mid-2017 and will consist of just seven episodes. Considering every other season has aired in April, this hiatus is set to be the longest yet.
Despite the lengthy pause, there is evidence that the new season is well underway already. Whilst at San Diego Comic Con 2016, HBO shared this two-minute trailer entitled ‘Game of Throne Season 7: In-Production Tease’ which features footage of the set, costumes and weaponry being made.
Needless to say, this teaser trailer has well and truly sent fans into a GoT frenzy. So we thought we’d find some other ways you can get your GoT fix before season seven starts.

For those who enjoy the charm of the traditional board game there are dozens of GoT-themed classics. There’s everything from GoT Risk to GoT Cluedo and GoT Monopoly that you can play with family and friends, each with their own character pieces,
Like most franchises these days, GoT also has game-based counterparts online, including an adventure video game and an app. There’s even an online GoT slot available online, including on 32Red and Mr Smith Casino. Created by Microgaming, the 5×3-reel video slot is set in the Seven Kingdoms, complete with your favorite cast members and the unmissable dragons. You don’t even have to be a regular online casino player to have a go on the GoT slot as 32Red offers new players a £10 no deposit bonus to spend on a variety of slots as well as on online roulette for Canadian players. You can also play the GoT slot with free play on Mr Smith Casino, though you won’t win any jackpots using this method, or visit PocketWin to gain 50 free spins on the slot.

The Game of Thrones Tour

Unfortunately, the majority of the world’s showbiz events and comic conferences have already been and gone this year, but there is still a chance for Canadians to meet the people behind their favorite show. Between February and April 2017, Game of Thrones’ music composer Ramin Djawadi and his 80-piece orchestra will be visiting 28 arenas across North America. Although most of the Game of Thrones Live Concert Experience will take place in the USA, the orchestra will be visiting Montreal’s Bell Centre on March 3 and Toronto’s Air Canada Centre on March 4. “It’s been a couple of years in the planning,” Djawadi told Billboard following the tour’s reveal. “We really wanted to make it a special event. We wanted it to be an immersive experience so that when you’re walking into the [arena], you are in Westeros.”
Needless to say, we can’t wait for Game of Thrones to return but hopefully all these games, activities and events are sure to keep us entertained until the world of the Seven Kingdoms returns next year!
