The Sierra Club, National Parks Conservation Association (NPCA) and Environmental Media Association hosted National Park Service Centennial: Give Back Day on Saturday at Franklin Canyon Park in Beverly Hills on June 11. The event celebrated the 100th Anniversary of the National Park Service, which helps protect Franklin Canyon Park, within Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area. Celebs including Silicon Valley star Thomas Middleditch, Amanda Crew, Darby Stanchfield, Karrueche Tran and Laura Regan, along with a number of volunteers, all showed off their green thumbs and rolled up their sleeves to help plant trees and native plants to restore important habitat in the park.
